I am interested in contemporary representations of the muse, the consideration of the nature of the sexualised image in contemporary visual culture, and the internet as a basis for creating personas.

Depicting a group of people, each sourced from internet searches, reaching climaxes of emotion to different extremes, my aim is to allow imagery to bridge the gap between an unsettling and arousing response.

The painted image and its implications is also of a concern to me, both in how liquid can bleed and melt to form a representation of an emotion and also the materiality of a painting as an object weighted with historical significance, commercial value, and physical beauty.
